God never intended for us to want anything more than we want Him.

We are taught to remain in God's love so that we won't tie our happy to anything but God.

Envy first brings depression: "My life isn't as good as yours." Then comes offense: "Why should you have what I don't have?" Which degrades into hatred.

When I went to school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down Happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment and I told them they didn't understand life.

The problem with people, according to Jesus, is not that we are too happy for God's taste, but that we are not happy enough.

True happiness comes from the things that cannot be taken away from you. Making the full effort to do the right thing can never be taken away from you.
