But we will never advance this heavenly cause if we do not rely on the power of the Spirit. Jesus needed the Spirit's power—what makes us any different?

If we do not carry God's truth and light to this world, no one will.

The Church exists by mission, just as a fire exists by burning. Where there is no mission there is no Church; and where there is neither Church nor mission, there is no faith.

Faith only operates when linked with HIS purposes, and the first of them is to 'bless all families on earth'.

There is a very real danger of our putting our faith in our sermon rather than in the Spirit. Our faith should not be in the sermon, it should be in the Holy Spirit Himself.

The security of faith does not make us motionless or close us off, but sends us forth to bear witness and to dialogue with all people.
