New Testament scholar Dr. Gordon Fee said that life is a wilderness, and a compass doesn't help very much. A map certainly doesn't help because you have to know where you are for starters. What you need in a place you've never been before is a guide. Jesus becomes the Guide to the Father's house.

When we go adventuring with Jesus, He takes us places we never dreamed we could go, gives us ideas we never thought we could have, and gives us friends that last forever.

At the end of our lives, our greatest regrets will be the God-ordained opportunities we left on the table, the God-given passions we didn't pursue, and the God-sized dreams we didn't go after because we let fear dictate our decisions.

God can accomplish more in one day than you can accomplish in a lifetime.

Never put a comma where God puts a period, and never put a period where God puts a comma.

Humility is how we get out of the way of what God wants to do. And if we stay out of God's way, then there is nothing God cannot do in us and through us.

Quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death.

God is big enough. He's big enough to speak through doors and dreams and people. He's close enough to speak through desires and promptings and pain.

God often uses us at our point of greatest incompetence.

At the end of your life, your greatest regret won't be the things you did but wish you hadn't. Your greatest regret will be the things you didn't do but wish you had. It's the what if dreams that we never act upon that turn into if only regrets.

Even when you have a setback, God has already prepared your comeback. The God who works all things together for good will leverage every experience, every skill, every mistake, and every bit of knowledge you have acquired.

You can either avoid making mistakes and play not to lose, or you can make the most of every opportunity and play to win.
