Some church-raised young adults experience similar self-doubt when it comes to making spiritual judgments. Instead of equipping them to make thoughtful, prayerful decisions and then to trust God for the outcome, the church has instilled a debilitating fear of sin or "stepping out of God's will." How can we expect the next generation to move forward with confidence into God's future when they are scared of making a misstep?1

And honestly, I'm tired of knowing I have issues but having no clue how to rein them in on a given day. I need something simple. A quick reality check I can remember in the midst of the everyday messies.

Paul asked over and over and over again for wisdomSo should we. We need to ask for God's wisdom, revelation, and intervening power to be an integral part of our food choices from now on.

Just because I want something, doesn't mean it's God's best for me. Just because I can do something, doesn't mean I should do it...I have the right to do anything, but not everything is constructive.

God, I recognize I am made for more than the vicious cycle of being ruled by food. I need to eat to live, not live to eat. So , i keep asking for your wisdom to know what it eat and your indwelling power to walk away from things that aren't beneficial for me

Operating in the flow of God's power is so much better than working against the flow of God's power.

My job is to be obedient to God, to apply His Word, and to walk according to His ways — not according to the world's suggestions.

no matter how well I plan things, I can't control them. No matter how well I think I know the people in my life, I can't control them. No matter how well I follow the rules, do what's right, and seek to obey God with my whole heart, I can't control my life. I can't control God.
