If I'm trusting God, I will stare at all the possible ways He'll use this whether I fail or succeed.

God's eyes are on me. His face is not against me. And even if others appear to be against me, I must make sure in my reaction to them that I extend grace and honor God.

With the full assurance God is okay with me even when I'm not okay with me. And I realize, I can't hold on to the desire to run and at the same time go where God wants to lead me.

I couldn't keep my old broken beliefs, nail a little Jesus truth to the side, and expect stability. I knew I had to stop assessing God's goodness by how my life felt at any given time. Feelings are broken boards. Only truth is solid, unchanging, and stable through and through.

We can't look to our feelings to determine truth. We must look to truth to rein in our feelings.

I'd believe I had prayed about things, but in reality I'd only worried about them, talked to friends about them, and tried to figure out how to solve them myself.

God, I recognize I am made for more than the vicious cycle of being ruled by food. I need to eat to live, not live to eat. So, I keep asking for Your wisdom to know what to eat and Your indwelling power to walk

The beliefs we hold should hold us up even when life feels like it's falling apart.

Don't buy into what the scale says or doesn't say. Trust the effort you are putting into getting healthy. And keep going! Not only are there changes going on in your body that you can't see, there are changes going on in your spirit—with your discipline, your courage, and your willpower. Keep going!

There is no perfect decision—only the perfectly surrendered decision to press through our fears and know that God is working in us to bring about good through us. Let's state it

Comfort zones don't have to be comfortable--they're just familiar. It's where you feel like you belong. And, where you feel you belong is where you will stay.

I can rest in the fact that God is in control.
