America has given me so much, and I feel so strongly that it's my turn to give back to the country that I love.

We can always find something to give. The joy of giving does not spring from the availability of dispensable resources. True richness is defined not in how much you have but how much you can give! Meaning, fulfillment and happiness come from making a difference and giving happiness to others.

If the United States wants safety, it has to take care of the safety of other nations also. If Great Britain wants safety, it has to think of the safety of other groups of people. Any of us could be victims of violence and terrorism. No country is immune.

When our happiness is dependent on what happens to us and when our self-focus determines our daily mood, our joy will necessarily be limited to whatever good thing happens to us. But when we learn to truly delight in the welfare of others and rejoice in what God is doing in their lives, the potential for increased joy skyrockets.

Kindness and remembrance. — A person cannot forget someone who is good to them.

Ah, thought he, after good actions one's conscience is never ungrateful, however much so the benefited party may be.

Don't aim for success if you want it, just do what you love and believe in, Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier and it will come naturally.

We have no salaries. When one says he is from a good Catholic family and says he wants to help us, why should we refuse his offer?

I don't usually talk about the social work I do because I don't do it for publicity. If I can bring a smile to the face of a few children in this one lifetime, I'd be happy.
