The believer has to account for the existence of unjust suffering; the atheist has to account for the existence of everything else.

Some virtues are only seen in affliction and others only in prosperity.

Show me someone who has done something worthwhile, and I'll show you someone who has overcome adversity.

That doesn't mean we should say, "Bring me more struggle because more people will get salvation." None of us runs eagerly into that battle. But when the battle comes to us, we know God is working a great purpose.

The bravest sight in the world is to see a great man struggling against adversity.

God had His hand in all the providences and dispensations that overtook His elect; so He had His hand in all the temptations that they had to sin against Him; not to animate them to wickedness, but to choose their temptations and troubles for them; and also to leave them for a time, to such sins only that might not destroy, but humble them; as might not put them beyond, but lay them in the way of the renewing His mercy. 

No, none of these things are the key. When it comes right down to it, I know of only one factor that separates those who consistently shine from those who don't: The difference between average people and achieving people is their perception of and response to failure. Nothing else has the same kind of impact on people's ability to achieve and to accomplish whatever their minds and hearts desire.

Poet Lord Byron was right when he stated, "Adversity is the first path to truth.

Failure results from bad breaks.

EMBRACE THE ADVERSITIES YOU MAY BE FACING IN YOUR LIFE, AND RETRAIN YOURSELF TO VIEW THEM AS BENEFICIAL.

The problem promise: when you handle them well, problems promise to make you better.
