Whenever something comes into our life that hurts us, we do the decidin'—do I let this work for my good, as God intended, or do I let bitterness grow like a bothersome canker sore in my soul?

Painful experiences can be used to better prepare us for heaven. You see, if we let it, even pain can shape us—make us better people—get rid of some of the ugly parts of our humanity.

There were periods when I was first-choice keeper and was starting to consolidate my position when out of the blue I got injured. It happened a few times and it really unsettled me.

The Lord compensates the faithful for every loss. That which is taken away from those who love the Lord will be added unto them in his own way. Suffering prepares you by training you to trust God and know that He is always at work in your life.

Problems patiently endured will work for our spiritual perfecting.

Anything that works against you can also work for you once you understand the Principle of Reverse.

Anyone who proposes to do good must not expect people to roll stones out of his way, but must accept his lot calmly, even if they roll a few stones upon it.
