Jesus wanted to show mercy to every single person He met. He wanted to sweep them up and embrace them with His love. But because of His eternal plans for goodness, He can't always do that. I don't know why, but i believe He has a greater good than healing our temporary pain.

We expect God's love to be all nice and neatly packaged. But He'll do what He has to in order to draw us to that place where we need Him. Know Him. Are overwhelmed by His lover for us.

Suffering can either destroy you or it can save you. Because without suffering, we don't need more; we have enough. But when we suffer, we can't help but reach out.

No matter where we are today or what mistakes we've made in the past, He has given us everything we need to glorify Him right now.

Have God make a message out of your mess.

I was a hockey player. I played hockey forever. That was my life and my job until I got injured, so I get sports, and I get the sports atmosphere, the feeling around other athletes, but I never played football.

I'm really not an injury-prone player. I just had that one injury that took, like, two years.

Show me a hero and I'll write you a tragedy.

Suffering in life can uncover untold depths of character and unknown strength for service. People who go through life unscathed by sorrow and untouched by pain tend to be shallow in their perspectives on life. Suffering, on the other hand, tends to plow up the surface of our lives to uncover the depths that provide greater strength of purpose and accomplishment. Only deeply plowed earth can yield bountiful harvests.

God's strength is made perfect in weakness. The weaker I became, the more powerful became the preaching.

May we store up the truths of God's Word in our hearts as much as possible, so that we are prepared for whatever suffering we are called upon to endure.

Without dark clouds in our lives we would never know the joy of sunshine. We can become callous and unteachable if we do not learn from pain.
