Everyone in life is gonna hurt you, you just have to figure out which people are worth the pain.

Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.

The warmth of God's grace melts our resentment, cools our tongues, and replaces our anger with love. It doesn't mean the wound didn't happen or that it doesn't hurt, but it means we choose to focus on God's grace instead of our wounds and live in thankfulness instead of demanding justice.

Faith would get her through when she had to face tomorrow, but her grief needed the tears to fall. There was healing in those tears.

Sometimes life is just awful, and that's the way it is. It doesn't have to reflect so much on God, as just be noted as this is what man is willing to do to his fellow man. It doesn't mean God is like this too.

God has made me into a tough, battle-hardened believer. I am very grateful to have those eleven years behind me. But I used them. I chose to survive with my faith intact. I chose to come out strong and together. I endured, and now I'm going to thrive. I don't expect life to be easy. I do expect God to be there with me. He was during the last eleven years.

The world is more than the sum of its suffering.

Suffering contains a hidden spiritual message. It exists until the message is heard.

I praise all of god's creations. It can't be that one part is perfect and the other part diseased. We are pained by knowing that we have sinned. That pain was given to us to show where we have lost love. If we listen to our own pain, we will find a way through to love once more. Sin is repaid by bliss. - Julian of Norwich

Given the amount of unjust suffering and unhappiness in the world, I am deeply grateful for, sometimes even perplexed by, how much misery I have been spared.

You pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too. That's a part of it.
