Heavenly Father, give me a vision of all You want to do in my life. Help me to not think too small, even when I pray. I want to be available to whatever You have for me and not limit Your blessings by being unprepared to receive them. Enlarge my heart and mind to understand how You can take what I have and expand it beyond what I can imagine.

We have to see that the human person needs the infinite. If God's not there, if the infinite isn't available, the human person creates its own paradises, giving the appearance of 'infinitude' that can only be a lie.

God can be everywhere at once, heeding the prayers of all who call out in the name of Christ; performing the mighty miracles that keep the stars in their places, and the plants bursting up through the earth, and the fish swimming in the sea. There is no limit to God. There is no limit to His wisdom. There is no limit to His power. There is no limit to His love. There is no limit to His mercy.

The mind is as big as the universe.

Reason is the natural order of truth; but imagination is the organ of meaning.

What are the comprehensible terrors of man compared with the interlinked terrors and wonders of God!

God wants to do immeasurably more in & through your life than you could ask.

It is a characteristic conceit of our species to put human face on random cosmic violence.

The chance of receiving a signal from a civilization exactly as advanced as we are should be minuscule. If they were even a little behind us, they would lack the technological capability to communicate with us at all. So the most likely signal would come from a civilization much more advanced.

His argument was not with God but with those who believed that our understanding of the sacred had been completed. The authority of God is unlike what is usually meant by "external authority" ... The authority of God brings perspective, joy and hope.
