Mercy unearned undeserved, unnecessary. If it isn't all of those it isn't Mercy. If you think people have to earn it, deserve it, or it is necessary to do it, you have lost the mystery of Mercy and forgiveness

Though justice be Thy plea, consider this: That in the course of justice none of us should see salvation. We do pray for mercy, And that same prayer doth teach us all to render The deeds of mercy.

Jesus is the best clue we have as to what God is like and He is consistently gracious and merciful, especially to those who are failures. He is harsh to uptight, judgmental people, but merciful and gracious to the failures. He seems to draw out the smallest kernel of faith in each person that He's with. So, I presume that that's the way God is going to judge humanity.

Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness.

All is well, practice kindness, heaven is nigh.

Mercy reflects the presence of the Lord in your heart and your life.

God has decreed it so, that where tenderness of heart is, there mercy shall follow...

There never was any heart truly great and generous, that was not also tender and compassionate.

Nothing can make injustice just but mercy.

Total compassion leads to total forgiveness. You can't force yourself to forgive anyone. Forgiveness doesn't belong to the mind. It is a feeling of the heart.

You will achieve more in this world through acts of mercy than you will through acts of retribution.

I have always found that mercy bears richer fruits than strict justice.
