Be imitators of God, as dearly loved children. And walk in love, as the Messiah also loved us and gave Himself for us. Ephesians 5:1—2

Every relationship for a Christian is an opportunity to love another person like God has loved us.

You can only have as much love for yourself as you can express to others.

What could make me love my fellow Christian better than to see that God loves us all as we were all one soul?

You who have received so much love, share it with others. Love others the way that God has loved you, with tenderness.

We need others. We need others to love and we need to be loved by them.

Give love to your children, to a wife or husband, to a next-door neighbour.

When we love like Jesus does, lives change for the better.

I love people. Jesus loves people.

Our response to Jesus Christ will be total the day we experience how total is his love for us. Instead of our self-conscious efforts to be good, we should allow ourselves the luxury of letting ourselves be loved by God. And much of his love for us will be expressed through the medium of our friends' love for us. How else could he reveal it in a way that is tangible? "You are my friends if you do what I command. . . . This is my command: Love each other" (John 15:14, 17).

We can only sense ourselves and our world valued and cherished by God when we feel valued and cherished by others '.

If God is compassionate, then certainly those who love God should be compassionate as well.
