We have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, in order to know what has been freely given to us by God. 1 Corinthians 2:12

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit … will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you. John 14:26

Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven" (Matt. 16:17). Do you realize that if you know the true identity of Jesus Christ, no preacher or teacher revealed it to you? The Father of all creation, the God who sits on the throne of the universe, pursued you and chose to reveal His Son to you. Remember that the next time you feel insignificant.

the Spirit Himself intercedes for me with groans that words cannot express. And He who searches my heart knows the mind of the Spirit, because Your Spirit intercedes for me in accordance with Your will. (Rom. 8:26—27)

When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth… . He will also declare to you what is to come. John 16:13

The Holy Ghost causes out feelings to be more tender. We feel more charitable and compassionate. We are calmer. We have a greater capacity to love. People want to be around us because our very countenances radiate the influence of the Spirit. We are more godly in character. As a result, we are more sensitive to the promptings of the Holy Ghost and thus able to comprehend spiritual things.

God often gives us an inner conviction or prompting to confirm which way He wants us to go. This prompting comes from the Holy Spirit.

God began by revelation to build a bridge between Himself and people.

The Holy Spirit illuminates the minds of people, makes us yearn for God, and takes spiritual truth and makes it understandable to us.

The searchlight of [God's] Spirit will probe the inner depths of your soul and reveal things that you think you have already yielded, but you have not.
