As you walk the road of life, be careful of your friends. They can make you or break you.

You get one life. Live it in a way that it inspires someone.

I often learn more about myself from listening to the life story of a friend than I do reflecting on my own story.

Leadership is the challenge to be something more than average

It's funny: I always imagined when I was a kid that adults had some kind of inner toolbox full of shiny tools: the saw of discernment, the hammer of wisdom, the sandpaper of patience. But then when I grew up I found that life handed you these rusty bent old tools - friendships, prayer, conscience, honesty - and said 'do the best you can with these, they will have to do'. And mostly, against all odds, they do.

Some people are friends, others are people you are forced to hang out with.

In life you will meet two kinds of people: Those who build you up and those who tear you down. But in the end, you will thank them both.

When I was younger if I was in someone else's shoes, if you saw a professional athlete you'd want to go up and introduce yourself and ask a couple questions, so I definitely know where they're coming from.
