There are more important things in life than boxing.

Simplified living is about more than doing less. It's being who God called us to be, with a wholehearted, single-minded focus. It's walking away from innumerable lesser opportunities in favor of the few to which we've been called and for which we've been created.

The reason for problems in our churches is not that we are all evil people. It is simply that we have not learned the ways of the King and His Kingdom enough for Him to influence how we think and live in every part of our lives.

Why do we question good news? It's because we have allowed our circumstances to shape us in a way that expects good things to end. In the Kingdom, when life is created, it continues to bring life. Anything outside of the Kingdom teaches us that good things end. So what world do we want to live from? The Kingdom or outside of the Kingdom?

When we reduce our influence to elections and popular vote, we disgrace the One who covenanted with us never to leave us or forsake us. That political spirit is the leaven Jesus warned us of in Mark 8 when He said to be careful of the leaven of Herod. The political system is real, but it is seriously inferior to the Kingdom of God.

God's job is to get me to Heaven. My job is not to go to Heaven; my job is to bring Heaven to earth through my prayers and obedience.

Trading anything for more of God really is the greatest deal ever offered to mankind.

Busyness is an enemy of true Kingdom experience.

Faith is focused entirely on God and exists because of Him. Faith is active, and is completely dissatisfied with theories and ideals that cannot be proven, that do not bear fruit. It derives its life from the voice and nature of God. It is unto God, to bring Him pleasure and glory. Such a life is anything but a comfortable life of caution. It is bold, brave, courageous and risky.

I realize that true success is not measured in the number of people who attend church on a Sunday, as good a thing as that may seem. Success in God's eyes is seen in the impact the message of the Kingdom has on how people think and live in my city, region and nation.

Faith was never intended only to get us into the family. Rather, it is the nature of life in this family. Faith sees. It brings His Kingdom into focus.
