It is most difficult, in my mind, to separate any success, whether it be in your profession, your family, or as in my case, in basketball, from religion.

And that destination for which we should strive is one of a successful life not necessarily a life of success.

Success on the outside means nothing unless you also have success within.

I did not ask for success; I asked for wonder.

What was desire anyway, when examined in the clear light of day? Was it the way a woman searched for her clothes in the morning, or the manner in which a man might watch her sit before the mirror and comb her hair? Was it a pale November dawn, when ice formed on windowpanes and crows called from the bare black trees? Or was it the way a person might yield to the night, setting forth on a path so unexpected that daylight would never again be completely clear?

Before you worry about the world, son, you should be sure your own soul is secure in God.

I don't mind saying, you know, that I don't take a salary from the church, and God has blessed me with more money than I could imagine from my books.

I don't believe we are supposed to go through life defeated and not having enough money to pay our bills or send our kids to college.

If you will focus on meeting other people's needs, God will always make sure your needs are supplied. God will take care of your problems for you.

Do not swallow anything Satan is trying to ram down your throat. Jesus comes first.

God will supply our needs "according to His riches.

God is supplying all of our needs. He is Jehovah-Jireh; the Lord our Provider. This may seem impossible but I know God can do the impossible. Where God gives vision He always provides provision.
