When we feel we can make a difference, and we're given the means to do so, positive outcomes can happen that in turn allow hope to prevail.

It is important to take action and to realize that we Can make a difference, and this will encourage others to take action and then we realize we are not alone and our cumulative actions truly make an even greater difference. This is how we spread the Light. And this, of course, makes us all even more hopeful.

In other words, what we nurture and encourage wins.

Help people realize that their actions, however small they may seem, will truly make a difference. The cumulative effect of thousands of ethical actions can help to save and improve our world for future generations. And why would you bother to take action if you did not truly hope that it would make a difference?

Remember, never despise a task—any task. In doing any job, you are either creating something or bettering something.

Holes in socks are sorta like sin, Josh. If you don't tend to them right away when they're small and controllable, they grow with amazing speed.

Research is so unpredictable. There are periods when nothing works and all your experiments are a disaster and all your hypotheses are wrong.

Freedom from effort in the present merely means that there has been effort stored up in the past.

Being a lifeguard was boring. Bo-ring. It was an indoor pool and it's so hot and humid in there. All you can do is sit there - you can't have music on because you need to pay attention and not be distracted. So you're just sat there, you're looking at people swim up and down, up and down. That was so boring.

I've been through a lot. I've had so many ups and downs in my career. I think a lot of it is you just have to be the same guy every day.

Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen.
