When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on.

Press forward. Do not stop, do not linger in your journey, but strive for the mark set before you.

Not everybody is going to agree with your dream. I'm sure you've had border bullies in your life as you moved into your career. And what we don't want to do is focus upon them.

When your dreams include service to others - accomplishing something that contributes to others - it also accelerates the accomplishment of that goal. People want to be part of something that contributes and makes a difference.

Just follow your dreams and be patient.

It is work, work that one delights in, that is the surest guarantor of happiness. But even here it is a work that has to be earned by labor in one's earlier years. One should labor so hard in youth that everything one does subsequently is easy by comparison.

When you are laboring for others let it be with the same zeal as if it were for yourself.

When I was in Class II, we used to walk about 5 km. to school. I did not know of Olympics or even athletics then. One day, a friend went in a car and left me behind. I was so angry, I wanted to run and outrace the car. I ran so fast that I tripped and fractured my knee.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

I want to be Miss USA or Miss America. I would bring the trophy back to Nebraska. My interests are agriculture and corn. Hey, I'm just riding this train as long as I can. As long as I'm having fun, I'll do it. When it stops being fun, I'll try something else.

To come back from injury to qualify my country for the Davis Cup final and then to win my third trophy, it means a lot.
