Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don't fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgement, repeated every day.

My dad lived a good life. He was a simple guy. His family had been poor, and he joined the Marines to be able to send money home to his mom and dad and brothers and sisters. He genuinely had the intention to live a good life and to respect other people.

We may not be able to give much but we can always give the joy that springs in a heart that is in LOVE WITH GOD.

I make sure to use my life for that which can be of goodwill. It has fortified me spiritually and emotionally

I've been making music for thirty-six years and, you know, I'm still just as in love with working on music now as I was thirty-six years ago.

Do as much as you can for as many as you can, every day. Even on the bad days, there's always something good you can do.

But I hope you'll spend more time and energy supporting whatever you're in favor of than opposing whatever you're against.

Whatever other resources you may have, you can always use your voice and your vote to effect change.

In other words, "getting to zero

Are we caring for our volunteers properly? Are we providing the right training? Is there a better way we could recruit? What are the faithful volunteers in our church actually experiencing? Are they growing spiritually? Do they feel like an integral part of a team?

What's wrong in our world will not be set right until people who love God and who refuse to cave to these overwhelming challenges put the things they believe into action, things like courage and discipline and love.

Character, not circumstance, makes the person.
