Being religious means asking passionately the question of the meaning of our existence and being willing to receive answers, even if the answers hurt.

Now wonder our youth is confused and in pain; they long for God, for the transcendent, and they are offered, far too often, either piosity or sociology, neither of which meets their needs, and they are introduced to churches which have become buildings that are a safe place to go to escape the awful demands of God.

Discover where and what makes you come alive and make a deliberate decision to live there.

Life never gives you what you want or need just because you have a burning desire for it. Life gives you what you seek, knock, and ask for.

Lord God, I long to hear Your voice but not just secondhand through teachers, as wonderful and godly as they can be. I long to hear Your voice firsthand.
