The Scriptures are the truth from God.

I am not interested in standing for what I believe in, but in standing for the truth. I and my conscience are liars. God's law is truth.

Charles Spurgeon's answer was to recognize that whatever God's Word teaches is true, whether or not it all makes sense to us. He said, I

A worldview tested by truth will inform imagination and meditation, not the other way around. That is why the rigorous way of testing truth has always been through logical consistency, empirical adequacy, and experiential relevance.

Spirituality does not give relevance to life; rather, truth gives relevance to spirituality.

Without truth, spirituality is nothing more than a hopeless confession that sheer matter alone does not answer life's deepest hungers.

God anoints truth.

Start believing the Word of God over our feelings. The truth always overrides our feelings. Find the truth in the scriptures.

Our feelings are unreliable and cannot be trusted to convey truth.

God owns the truth. The issue is our ability to derive truth apart from God's sufficient Word.

Together with this outrage we may take the mutilation of the novel called The Search at the exact point where the author upholds, or appears for the moment to uphold, the doctrine that loyalty to the abstract truth must override all personal considerations;

The Word of God well understood and religiously obeyed is the shortest route to spiritual perfection. And we must not select a few favorite passages to the exclusion of others. Nothing less than a whole Bible can make a whole Christian.
